Rosemary's Baby

from Beware The Moon! by The Lunatiques

/

about

Rene sat down with his acoustic guitar and started playing this riff and singing the melody, not quite sure what the song was going to turn out to be. About 15 minutes later he had 3/4 of the song done, only needing Annelise to write her portion as a response to Satan's advances. We don't know if Roman Polanski would approve of this one, but we sure hope he would.

lyrics

I am a child of God,
just like you.
I want to have my own
progeny too.
What's a fallen angel
like me supposed to do?

I have the choice of
any woman I want.
I've chosen you,
it's the end of my hunt.
Sorry you're looking so weak
and oh so gaunt.

Oh, Rose,
You are my lady,
for just one night.
Please give me this baby.
I understand these eyes
Fill you with fright.

Rosemary,
You are my lady,
Please don't fight.
just give me this baby.
You'll never see me again,
after tonight.

My eyes are yellow,
but my heart is blue.
I have the adoration of all
except you.
Just think of all that we
have both been through.

A taste of fame
for the man that you wed,
in trade for just one night
with me in your bed.
Is that all really too much
to ask from you?

Oh, Rose,
You are my lady,
for just one night.
Please give me this baby.
I understand these eyes
Fill you with fright.

Rosemary,
You are my lady,
Please don't fight.
just give me this baby.
You'll never see me again,
after tonight.

I was floating on board,
Thats what it seems.
You weren't the man that lies
next to me.
I have a feeling this is
no ordinary night.

I had a captive audience
In my view
I'm the only one
Who missed the cue.
I think I know what
You want me to do.

Okay, I'll give you my baby,
Just hold me tight and I'll be your lady.
I want to make a son with you tonight.

Oh, please, I'll give you my baby.
I won't mind even if you rape me.
We're going to make the Antichrist here tonight
